"TRUST THE CONDUCTOR'S TIMING"
by Douglas G. Bolles

I think one of the hardest things for us is to trust God in his timing.

Some of us do not wait on God's timing. We take things into our own hands and we make a mess of them. We end up denying ourselves the very blessing God planned for us - in his timing.

For others of us, the problem is not waiting on God; it is acting for God. Because of fear or other wrong reasons, we do not step out in faith and act when God puts it on our heart to do so.

Whether by taking things into our own hands or by sitting on our hands, we show we do not trust God for his timing. We show we do not have faith in God.

Imagine an orchestra with God as its conductor and each of us as its members. If the tuba player becomes impatient while waiting for his part and begins to play without the conductor's direction, he will ruin the performance. Likewise, if the cymbal player loses her nerve and at the crescendo and does not play her part, the performance is ruined.

Why do we so often blame the Conductor of life for the 'poor performance' of our lives, when the issue is our lack of trust in his timing? In faith, trust the Conductor of your life. If you do, He will enable you to play beautiful music.
