Be Patient!
One of the toughest things for most of us to do is wait. Patience is not something the majority of folks excel in. Whether it’s dealing with slow moving traffic, a slow moving project or person, or any other assortment of delays or deferments, forced waiting can be frustrating and painful.
One of the great qualities of God’s character is patience. His view of time is very different from ours. He’s willing to patiently wait on people to respond to His Word, to learn His ways, and to do His will. He patiently calls, woo’s, nudges, and disciplines us until we get His message, make necessary changes, and take the steps He wants us to take. His patience with us is amazing. It’s a gift all of us should be very grateful for.
The next time you’re tempted to grow impatient with somebody or something, remember how patient God is with you. Let the example of His patience inspire you to be patient and to pass on patience to others!
